The Beginner


The first Series was designed for beginners of yoga to develop strength and stability in the body. This is to build the foundation for exploration of Yoga and one’s possibilities. It comprises 10 yogasanas (postures) which focuses on grounding and strengthening of the legs, the spine and arms. 

The Beginners series of Yoga cards comprises 10 foundation postures (or asanas in Sanskrit). From the Hatha Yoga Pradipika Verse 19, it clearly explained the practice of asanas is to gain steadiness, health and lightness of body. These 10 asanas have been carefully selected for this purpose.  

Each posture will relate to a history or a symbolic significance in Vedic Tradition which will not only give children the context of each posture but also create visualisation in children while learning Yoga.
